CALLING ALL CREATIVES: Music, Designers, Visual designers (Lights, Set,VJ), DJ's, Art, Promoter

Desperados has launched a competition in association with UKF, offering aspiring creatives the chance raise their profile in the industry by completing a set of challenges working alongside high profile mentors and with budgets beyond their wildest dreams, to win a once in a lifetime prize. A mentorship with the record label, as well as showcasing their talent on the same bill as internationally famous act Sigma, for a night at one of London’s 02 venues.
How to apply
Those wishing to apply can do so via ukf.com/cityhack, by submitting a 15-second long video that demonstrates what they're capable of in their discipline (whether that be music, design, art or promotion).
The competition
First, winning entrants will link up with three fellow winners who come from the same town (with a team to be drawn from London, Manchester and Bristol respectively).
Putting their combined skillset to use, each team will then work together to respond to a series of challenges posed to them by UKF over the course of the summer (including making a music video and throwing a party in their hometown with budgets fit for celebrities at their disposal), as a way of showcasing their talent.
The culmination of all of this will result in each team hosting their own room and performing on the same stage as Sigma at one of London’s 02 clubs, Building Six.
Following this, the team that is deemed to have demonstrated the most creativity and originality in their work throughout the process will each win a life changing 12-month mentorship with UKF.

- Carly Wilford - Music Promoter and show DJ for Rinse FM

- Stuart Warren-Hill – Multi-award winning visual artist and VJ. One half of AV duo Hexstatic. Voted DJ Magazine’s No.1 VJ.
