Ingredients:
· 50ml Whiskey
· 1/2 tsp Quinteassential Tales of the Orient Tea
· 25ml Hot Water
· Dash of sugar syrup
· 2 Dashes orange bitters
· Lemon wedge and fine sugar (To Rim glass)
· Mint Leaves
Equipment used:
· Martini Glass
· Boston Shaker
· Spirit Measure
Method:
1. Place the tea leaves in a small cup with the small amount of hot water. Leave to infuse until the water is tepid/cold (Approx. 5 mins)
2. Chill your glass(es). Fill with large ice cubes and cold water, whilst you make the drink (Optional).
3. Lightly slap the mint and put into the shaker. Add bitters, syrup and whiskey.
4. Place the sugar on a small plate. Empty the glass and wipe inside dry. Moisten the rim using the lime wedge and turn the glass upside down in the sugar. Carefully twist until the rim is coated in the sugar
5. Strain the tea into the shaker and add ice. Shake.
6. Strain into glass, careful not to disrupt the rim.
7. Garnish with mint OR flame an orange peel for a true Old Fashioned finish.
