Serves: 2
Ingredients:
· 8g Ginger
· 13g Fresh Lemongrass + some to garnish
· 1/8 Lime juice
· 100ml Gin (I used Tanqueray)
· 50ml Triple sec
· 30-50ml sugar syrup (Optional to taste)
· Tonic Water
Equipment used:
· Boston shaker
· Muddler
· Spirit measure
· Fine Strainer (I use a Hawthorn strainer and a fine sieve for a double strain)
· Martini glasses
Method:
1. Chill your glasses. Fill them with ice and cold water, whilst you make the drink.
2. Muddle the ginger and lemongrass together in the shaker. Add the lime juice.
3. Add the gin, triple sec and syrup.
4. Add a few cubes of ice and put the shaker together. Shake.
5. Empty your glasses and strain the drink evenly into both. (Double strain if possible)
6. Top glass with tonic water and garnish with a single layer of lemongrass swirl.
